Before you book
Espacio TORMENTA · Updated October 2026
⏱ About a 3-minute read
We’re so glad you’re reading this. Before you arrive, we’d like you to know the main guidelines of our space.
Surroundings
We are in a rural setting, and our sanitation has been designed to minimize environmental impact and make the best use of water. All toilets are composting toilets, and we have designed them to be comfortable and clean. Along those lines, we appreciate the use of biodegradable personal care products. Alternatively, and only if you wish, we can offer you a biodegradable personal care kit for CLP $3,000 (at cost).
Access
The grounds, both the camping area and the common spaces, are reached along footpaths. For now, our infrastructure does not offer universal access for people with reduced mobility, and our spaces are not safe for children. One of our goals for the near future is to change this.
Food
All our common areas are vegetarian (shelter, barbecue shelters, green areas), and our breakfast (included with an advance contribution) is vegan or vegetarian. We respect every choice in this regard, so we ask you to respect our project’s choice. If you share food or cooking utensils, please keep in mind other guests’ possible food allergies. Some of these allergies can be very serious and require immediate medical attention.
Getting here
If you come by public transport, you can get as far as Curiñanco. From there you’ll need private transport for the last stretch to TORMENTA (10 minutes). That’s why we’ll offer coordinated options to make arriving easier, but our logistics require you to tell us your needs well in advance and to be flexible with our availability.
A safe space, free of sexist violence
This space is committed to creating and maintaining a safe, inclusive and respectful environment for everyone. That means an environment free of racism, of violence of any kind and, especially, of gender-based violence against women and LGBTQ+ people. We see this as ongoing work and a collective responsibility, upheld by the clear application of our community guidelines.
Right of admission
We reserve the right of admission and of continued stay in order to protect the wellbeing of our community. We have an intervention protocol that will be available to you when you arrive.
Commitment
This is a space where empathy, mutual respect and active listening are essential. On arrival, everyone agrees to follow these principles and to actively help build a space that is as safe as possible for all. Thank you for helping us keep this environment of respect. We are always open to your suggestions, criticism and comments.
About your booking
- Minimum stay: 2 nights, in the Maritime Module and in camping. The exception is activity days: within an activity’s dates you can book a single night, even if the activity lasts longer. If the activity has reserved the lodging for its participants, you need the code its organizers give you.
- Standard contribution: you pay on arrival, no breakfast. If you can’t come, let us know and we cancel your booking for free.
- Advance contribution: you pay 100% of the stay (and, for activities organized by TORMENTA, the participation fee too) within 24 hours of our confirmation, by bank transfer or, if you don’t have a Chilean bank account, by PayPal; otherwise the spot is released. It has 10% off the module, camping at CLP $10,000 per person and breakfast included. Activity days, and the module in January and February, advance contribution only. In January and February, camping accepts the standard contribution with limited spots: up to 3 nights, Sunday to Thursday nights, 1 tent per booking.
- Changes with an advance contribution: no refunds. You can change the date once, if you ask up to 7 days before your arrival, keeping the same conditions. After that, what you paid becomes a credit valid for 2 years, which you can transfer or give away; if the new stay costs more, you pay the difference.
- Acceptance: by confirming your booking (and, with an advance contribution, by paying for it), you confirm that you have read and accept these guidelines.
Your data
We use your name and contact details only to manage your booking and, if you take part in an activity, to coordinate with its organizers. We don’t share them with anyone else.
